What are M2M and IoT?

M2M (Machine To Machine) and IoT (Internet of Things) both refer to devices communicating with each other by exchanging data over the internet. M2M refers to isolated instances of device-to-device communication, and IoT refers to a grander scale of communication between multiple devices via the cloud.
