Cambridge graduate Peter started his professional life at Schroder’s, one of the most established and highly-regarded asset management firms in the City.
The following 35 years have been spent in a largely entrepreneurial capacity, starting and growing a host of successful international businesses across a number of complementary sectors including commodity trading, financial futures, global trade finance and latterly, telecoms.
Ritesim was founded in 2012 by Peter and John Butterfield to play a market-leading role in simplifying the M2M/IoT markets and to provide businesses of all sizes and complexities an afforadble, easy-to-understand solution that enables and ensures sustainable growth.

Sales Director & Co-Founder
Co-founder of Ritesim alongside Peter Rebak, John brings a wealth of experience, business acumen and strategic nous to the firm.
Managing the commercial and strategic arm of Ritesim, his all-encompassing role includes product development, new business development and sales verticals.
John has almost two decades’ experience in the mobile & telecoms industry. As Sales Director of a major international mobile device distribution Company he oversaw the retail development, product placement and OEM accounts for telecom conglomerates including LG, Samsung and Nokia, at the same time transforming the Company into one of the world’s largest handset distributors.
Paul Lerman
Chief Technical Officer
After graduating from Bristol with a Masters in Maths & Computer Science, Paul went into merchant banking as a derivatives trader before joining Millward Brown, a brand strategy agency (part of the WPP Group) as a Marketing Science Executive.
In that role he oversaw some of the company’s key accounts including Coca-Cola, Heineken, Martini and VISA before joining Ritesim in 2013. As CTO, Paul manages the technical side of the business including systems integrations, data analytics and new technologies.
Karl Oliyide
Head of Logistic Control
Joining Ritesim directly from college, Karl has become a key member of the team controlling the interface between the physical despatch of product and its link to The Cisco-Jasper control platform.
An immediate response logistics policy has been implemented by Karl and, in addition to logistic control, he also plays a key role with the CTO for the monthly billing cycle and providing data analytic reports required by customers.
